With the regulations on short-time work and the extension of the bridging aid, the politicians are demonstrating a sense of responsibility and the ability to act.

To the planned regulations on short-time work and the extension of the corona-related bridging aid, BDA Managing Director Steffen Kampeter explains:

Berlin, 19 November 2021: "With the regulations on short-time work and the extension of bridging assistance announced in the decision of the Minister Presidents together with the Federal Chancellor, politicians are demonstrating a sense of responsibility and the ability to act in a difficult and serious situation. We welcome the fact that the positions of the employers' associations, particularly with regard to short-time working allowances, appear to have been listened to. The planned adjustments are essential, especially in view of the current dynamic developments and the necessary planning security for many companies.

However, it is also clear that we would all wish that such support measures were no longer necessary. Vaccination is and remains the ideal way out of the pandemic. The joint appeal of the BDA and the DGB is therefore: Get vaccinated!
