Those who do not show up for work for reasons for which they are responsible have not been able to claim pay for the work they have missed. Otherwise, there would be an even greater risk of imbalance if people who refuse to undergo tests and vaccination were rewarded with paid time off. The yardstick for all measures must be the interests of those who take responsibility for themselves and others by vaccinating in this pandemic.
Politicians have been demanding a lot of flexibility from the German economy for months - we have done our homework. When it comes to boosters, we employers now expect more flexibility from politicians. There must be no strict adherence to six months for a booster vaccination - Corona will not give us the time. Our company doctors finally need a clear signal that they are allowed to offer our employees the third vaccination. The sooner the better."
