Promoting dialogue - strengthening networking

BDA AGENDA 07/21 | BDA Working Group Communication

The areas of responsibility of those responsible for communications have changed at our member institutions in recent years, just as they have at our company. The variety of channels and forms of communication has also expanded. In addition to traditional press work, digital communication, such as the various channels of social media, as well as internal and strategic communication have gained in importance. Association communication is more challenging and exciting than ever before.

This makes it all the more important that we consult regularly. This time, our cross-industry pre-Easter exchange also focused on input from our experts from the strategy department. Not surprisingly: This year is the federal election, the main topics of which we will address in various, especially digital and virtual, formats.

The effectiveness of joint cross-association communication is increased if we jointly pursue and advance our goals, such as promoting the support of the population for the values of the social market economy, entrepreneurship and all related issues. In the interest of all entrepreneurs, and thus also of us associations and member institutions, the focus in this pandemic year is also particularly on securing skilled workers and young talent in the "Summer of Vocational Training".

As the first point of contact for all questions on the future of work, digitalisation, the labour market, labour law, social, collective bargaining and education policy in Germany, as well as European and international social policy and the area of social security, we communication officers in the BDA Communications Working Group exchange practical information with qualified experts in order to be able to convey the interests of employers in Germany even better. Background information on current trends, an active exchange of experience and knowledge, and strategic advice help us to see where we can do even better.
