Commenting on the election of the new CDU Chairman Armin Laschet, Employers' President Dr. Rainer Dulger said:
"I congratulate Armin Laschet on his election. Germany is facing major challenges. The fact that the CDU has clarified its leadership issue is therefore an opportunity to refocus on these challenges. We look forward to working with the new leadership of the CDU/CSU and invite them to work with employers on the framework conditions for a rapid recovery. The range of tasks is broad. It ranges from a sustainable social policy to a comprehensive de-bureaucratization of our country. The Union should be brave to trust people to do more again and not support the path to a fully insured society."
