Employer President Dr. Rainer Dulger on the top-level discussion of the Alliance for Initial and Continuing Training
Berlin, 17 March 2021: "In order to get back on track after the pandemic, we need to train good skilled workers now. Because the German economy can only remain innovative and competitive with excellent young talent. To ensure that applicants and training companies find each other and that no training place remains unfilled, we in the Alliance must focus all our efforts on innovative ways of providing career guidance for school leavers.
The federal programme "Securing Training Places" is a valuable recognition for companies that continue to provide training despite major challenges. However, one thing is clear: the programme must be limited in time to the current pandemic-related situation and offer targeted incentives for training and recognition for training performance. After the pandemic, companies will once again bear sole responsibility for financing training."
