Regarding the debate on fighting employers, employers' association president Dr. Rainer Dulger states:
Those who fight employers are fighting prosperity, jobs, and social security
Berlin, December 1, 2025. "The latest statements from the federal government raise doubts as to whether all parties involved are aware of the value and independence of social partnership. The social partners are called upon by the Basic Law to help shape working and economic conditions. This requires respect for their independence and equal treatment.
A call to fight employers is unprecedented in the history of the Federal Republic and is incompatible with this basic understanding. The claim that employers only think of themselves is simply false. And the claim that the pension reform does not burden employers because it is financed by tax revenue is a blatant economic fallacy.
Those who fight employers are fighting prosperity, jobs, and social security. We employers are ready for a constructive dialogue for the good of our country. It is up to the federal government to decide whether to accept this offer."
