In an interview with SWR radio, BDA CEO Steffen Kampeter calls on the federal government to adopt an exit strategy from the Corona aid programme. When the emergency is over, it is time to start saving again, Kampeter said on Tuesday on the occasion of the start of the Bundestag budget week in the SWR "Tagesgespräch".
It was right to spend money on stabilisation measures in the current year and not to let them end abruptly at the turn of the year. But it is also true that: "If the restrictions on Covid ease, the state's support must also ease. Because one thing is clear: the debts will, after all, be repaid and they will be repaid by those who are supposed to organise and finance the recovery next year", namely employees and companies. Kampeter rejected a one-off wealth tax for multi-millionaires, as demanded by the Left Party.
