Employer President Dr. Rainer Dulger explains the current employment market figures:
Germany must become the first choicefor domestic and foreign skilled workers
Berlin, November 30, 2023: "The shortage of jobs and skilled workers continues to be one of the biggest problems on the German labor market. Companies are desperately looking for staff. A focus on job placement is therefore the order of the day.
On the international labor market, we must be able to compete with attractive economic nations such as Canada, the USA and Australia. Germany must become the first choice for domestic and foreign skilled workers. The hidden reserves and untapped potential must be activated for the labor market. Highly qualified people must be kept in the country. This can only be achieved with good framework conditions in terms of location, sufficient childcare, good schools and a comprehensive welcoming culture."
