Berlin, January 21, 2025: “We must finally do our homework. Instead of working off President Trump, we need to do better ourselves. This starts with finally talking about the basis of prosperity and sovereignty in the German parliamentary election campaign: strengthening our economy.

President Trump's speech is an invitation to Germany and Europe to refocus on their own strengths.

This means focusing our policies on competitiveness and regaining German and European economic strength where it has been lost.

The Bundestag election is a decision on direction: a change of policy and an economic turnaround are all the more urgent. Our options for action lie in Berlin and Brussels.”
