Post-Corona strategy is the order of the day - we need a pact for the future

Employer President Dulger on today's exchange of views between the Joint Committee of German Business and Federal Minister of Economics Altmaier and on the current discussion of further Corona measures:

Berlin, 18 January 2021 "A post-Corona strategy is now the order of the day. We know how difficult the situation is in the companies. It is all the more important that the companies see light at the end of the tunnel and have a perspective. A moratorium on burdens would be the least we could do. But what we really need is a pact for the future. How do we want to do business in the next few years? How do we want to ignite the growth that will pay back the debts and bring back the jobs? This is where we need to find answers together with the politicians.

For some to now contemplate total closure, i.e. stopping all economic activity, shows a certain alienation from the reality of industrial supply chains. To impose a requirement for flexible working, such as mobile working, goes against the spirit of the President's call last week."
