Employer President Dr. Rainer Dulger explains the launch of the "Future Mission Education":
The education system must convey the joy of teaching and learning: Achievement is worthwhile!
Berlin, February 14, 2024: "A future-proof education system is the prerequisite for equal opportunities. Daycare centres, schools and universities are the places where talent is recognized from an early age and promoted in line with needs. Educational staff and teachers must be empowered to be able to fulfil their role even under changing conditions and requirements such as advancing digitalization. We all have a responsibility to provide them with the best possible support.
We employers stand for good training, innovation and progress. Currently, 1.2 million young people are being trained in companies across Germany. However, the education system must lay the foundation for overcoming the challenges ahead. We need an education system in which teaching and learning are associated with enjoyment and performance is rewarded.
This must be the focus of political attention. With the Future Mission Education, we want to jointly identify and shape solutions for this."
Together with the companies involved in the board of the Stifterverband, the BDA supports the joint initiative Future Mission Education. The aim is to create a sustainable education system that quickly trains and educates more people with the necessary skills - for Germany in a changing world.
