Vaccination is the order of the day

Commenting on today's ruling by the Federal Constitutional Court on the Corona federal emergency brake, Employer President Dr. Rainer Dulger said:

Berlin, 30 November 2021 "The decision announced today, with which the Federal Constitutional Court approved the so-called federal emergency brake, is understandable. At a time when there was not enough vaccine, uniform regulations for the entire federal territory were justifiable.

This situation has changed. Although the threat posed by the corona virus has not diminished, vaccination offers the possibility of significantly mitigating the effects of corona virus infections.

A potentially nationwide comprehensive lockdown of economic activity would be inappropriate and cause further severe damage to the national economy. It would also be disproportionate to the goals that can be achieved at the present time. It may still make sense to take individual regional measures that are appropriate to the local situation. Above all, however, the pandemic must be contained by inoculating, vaccinating and boosting.

Vaccination is the order of the day. Those who get vaccinated protect themselves and others. Vaccination preparedness must increase and be strengthened. Vaccinating and boosting are the critical steps to surviving this winter."
