The President of the Employers' Association, Dr. Rainer Dulger, commented on the election manifesto of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen:
Berlin, 13 June 2021: "For us employers in Germany, the election programme of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen adopted at the party conference is primarily one thing: a wild conglomeration of higher taxes, additional regulations, more levies and shopkeepers of an ideologically backward-looking policy. There is no sign of any offer of entrepreneurial initiative. This is not how the new start after Corona and the transformation to a more sustainable economy will work.
Climate change is also a top issue for us employers in Germany. In order to adapt the companies and the product range, investments are needed that have to be generated. For this, companies need the right framework. However, the Greens' programme does not ensure dynamism and employment, but rather more burdens and barriers.
The transition to a successful, modernised social market economy cannot be achieved in this way. Growth, prosperity and social and ecological sustainability can only be achieved in partnership between politics and business.
