The President of the Employers' Association, Dr. Rainer Dulger, commented on yesterday's decision by the federal and state governments:

Berlin, 4 March 2021: "Unfortunately, the attempt at an opening strategy is not convincing. Instead of finally showing light at the end of the tunnel, it once again becomes clear how clueless the politicians themselves are. What is now on the table is nothing more than a stalling policy that continues to leave businesses and employees without a real perspective. That is not nearly enough.

We stand by our offer to support the vaccination strategy through the coordinated deployment of company doctors. We will take up the spontaneous request to do this in testing as well, within the scope of our possibilities. Open questions must be clarified quickly here. It must also be clear that companies can only meet this challenge without bureaucratic burdens.

If politics and business pull together now, we can take a big and important step and gain a lot of confidence."
