Employers' President Dr. Rainer Dulger on Chancellor Scholz's vote of confidence:
The economy needs clarity, predictability and reliability quickly
Berlin, December 15, 2024: "Germany needs a change of policy. The red-green minority government has no strength for reform. We welcome the Chancellor's move to call for a vote of confidence.
For citizens, a functioning economic policy is a key issue for the future: it is about their jobs, their prosperity and opportunities for their children. The social market economy must be rebalanced.
The economy needs clarity, predictability and reliability quickly. Less regulation, lower non-wage labor costs, a more activating welfare state and a more functional labor market - these must be the goals of the new federal government."
