Presentation of the annual report of the German Council of Economic Experts

On the occasion of the annual report of the German Council of Economic Experts presented today, the Confederation of German Employers' Associations states:

Of course, the German economy is hoping that the German Council of Economic Experts is right with its forecast and that the economy will not crash as badly as feared this year. That would not only be very good news, but also proof of how strong and resilient our economy is, especially small and medium-sized enterprises.

One thing is clear: what happens with the infection and the measures taken in response to it remain decisive for further economic development. That's why it's important that we talk now about how we can get through the next few months together without choking off parts of the economy and without putting too much strain on the national budget. The employers have reached out to the federal government here.
